The London Olympics was considered by many to be the best ever for photography.

Chris Turvey

Passionate about sport from a young age, Chris began his career in sports photography at his local paper at just 15 years old. By the time he was 19 he was the youngest sports photographer to hold a position on a UK national daily paper. Eventually this led him to become chief sports photographer at the Daily Mirror winning several awards along the way.

During his editorial career he has covered multiple Olympic games, World Cups, Grand Slams and Majors. He spent a number of years as a cricket specialist, photographing all levels of the game including England tours to India, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the West Indies.

Subsequently, Chris made the move into the commercial sector where he has worked for some of the best-known brands in the world. This included a project to set up the first digital asset management system to accommodate the global sponsorship photography for a major company.

Since 2008 the majority of Chris' work has been covering all the major golf tournaments for both men and women around the world for his clients. This work involves collaborating with golf’s governing bodies and organisations to deliver photographic services for advertising, sponsorship and corporate events teams.
